Burns Night Supper with The Merman

A smokey 3 course Burns Night Supper with a Drambuie Spritz and dram of whisky included. Presented by @the_merman_uk and @feast_on_fire

The Workers League Whitstable are hosting an exclusive 3 course Burns Night Supper brought to you by The Merman and Bruce Clyne-Watson.

Kicking off at 6:30 guests are invited to enjoy a compimentary Drambuie Spritz before the first course of smoked Scottish langoustines, cullen skink veloute and malt bread.

For mains we’ll be serving classic haggis, neeps and tatties (with a lick of smoke from our wood oven) and traditionally addressed by Bruce.

Desert will be home-made Winter Tipsy Laird, followed by a Burns reading and a complimentary dram of single malt.

There is a fully licensed bar and with draft beers from Two Tribes and a selction of wines and spirits and guests are encouraged to stay a wee while for a little swallie with us!

Places sold in advance only at £45 per person (£48.24 with booking fee).

Dining style at The Workers League is big tables, so there may be some table sharing necessary.

About the host:
Bruce Clyne-Watson presents to you our very own highland fling. Bruce has a passion for food, fire, folk and all things Scottish and is an ambassador for all that is Celtic and north of the border. The wee man is the face behind Alba (Gaelic for Scotland) a wild and exciting fire cooking brand, and the Chief of Chilli at Hoots Sauce, purveyors of condimentally unique Scotch hot sauces. About the chef:
Jim Thomlinson is The Merman. Obsessed with creating fine food from the fruits of the land and sea, cooked over fire and smoke, The Merman has presided over many a kitchen from London to Margate, and was behind pop up concepts such as The Shell Garage, Prawnography and the Moisture Oyser Co. Now resident at The Workers League in Whistable where you’ll be able to eat with him from February 2023.
